Park was Grant Funded: 250,000 land and water conservation grant, 100,000 roads and trail grant
In 2009, the two shelter were built with labor donated by the Hancock County Chapter of the Builders Association of Indianapolis
In 2010, $40,000 of playground equipment was installed with the help of community, park board members and the Sugar Creek Township Firefighters.
Also in 2010, a nine hole frisbie golf course was installed as part of a Boy's Scout Eagles project, funded by various donations.
In the fall of 2010, New Palestine Travel Soccer started using a portion of the park for soccer fields
In 2011, $5,000 of equipment was installed to make a fitness trail. Grant money funded by Hancock Regional Hospital.
